Word Up! Festival – Write Now

Location: March Town Hall, Town Hall, March, Cambridgeshire, PE15 9JF

Date/s: Saturday 14 April Time/s: 10am - 4pm

For 16+ £10. £15 on the door.

Join author Sue Welfare in a unique creative writing workshop. This workshop is suitable for people at all stages of their writing career – whether you’re taking a first step or you’re already up and running and looking to improve your writing skills.

You’ll spend the day learning how to create believable characters, how to plot, how to drive the plot along with dialogue, where to look for plots, the concept of writing within a genre – as well as lots of advice on how to edit to make the best of what you’ve created, as well as routes to publication.

The day will be based around a series of short writing exercises, giving you the chance to put any tips and advice you’ve taken on into practice.

When: Saturday 14 April, 10am-4pm

Where: March Town Hall

Suitable for ages 16+

Sue Welfare has been writing professionally for over twenty years and her romantic comedy novels have been published by Harper Collins, Headline and Avon, among others. In 2015 her self-published debut thriller, ‘Next of Kin’, hit the bookshelves to stunning reviews. Her next book, ‘Losing Leah’, also a thriller, is published by Mirror Books on March 22nd 2018. Sue is also an artist and lives in Norfolk.

Word Up! Festival

Between 12 and 22 of April the Word Up! Festival will be taking over the town of March! Join in to get creative with storytelling in all it’s forms. Enjoy film, music, visual arts, performance, poetry, and creative writing and have a go yourself with our interactive events. Bring your family and friends to try your hand at a range of activities.
