    On September 29th Wisbech will see the start of a new exciting workshop programme Viva La Voce. Viva La Voce is designed for adults (18+ to 80+) and local to Wisbech and Fenland with a desire to develop their vocal skills and confidence as a performer with a supportive group of like-minded participants.

  • Chatteris Heritage Open Day

    Chatteris in Myth and Memory is a community led project that brought together local people and a range of artists to explore history and myth through a variety of art forms. This Saturday Chatteris Museum will open its doors during the national Heritage Open Day to celebrate this local initiative.

  • Fire & Flint: Story Gathering Session

    The Suffolk Poetry Society want to include stories from the local community members as part of the Fire&Flint celebration. We would like to use your stories to inspire ballads and other pieces for performance on 23 September. Share your memories to help create a storyboard to inspire writers and poets at the creative writing workshops.

  • Creative Caring – Skills Sharing Session

    ‘Creative Caring’ is a project designed by Carol Parker, a socially engaged artist working together with her colleague Ernie Butler, a 2D artist, to extend their participatory art in care home in Fenland. This summer Carol and Ernie ran their first 2 week programme of creative sessions in 4 care homes in Fenland.

  • "Who Am I" Creative Careers Project

    Over autumn and winter in 2017 ten young people aged 13 to 22 will get the chance to meet professional Artists and engage in an eight weeks course “Who am I?” consisting of 2-hour workshops that will give them an insight into a range of creative professions from a Tattoo Artist to a Stand Up Comedian.

  • Newmarket Kite Symphony

    Newmarket Kite Symphony is an arts and sports community project for local residents. Over the course of the last three months, artist R.M. Sánchez-Camus (Marcelo), kite specialist Zachary De Santos together with local Newmarket artist Paula Wilson, have been working with local community members, designing, making and flying specialised kites.

  • 'The Brink' – Augmented Reality in Wisbech

    Do you love dreaming up new stories? From fantasy to fiction, time-travel to alien-invasions, this project will fire up your imagination! Join a series of story workshops to gather bold and imaginative futuristic stories about Wisbech and we’d love you to be involved. Come along to these story-making session and work with leading artist and poet, Lucy Sheerman to create new stories. Some of the stories will be selected and used to create an interactive trail of digital experiences in and around Wisbech.

  • Ferry Folk

    Join us for a special evening of traditional East Anglian music, song and dance to launch Ferry Tales, a major arts event for Brandon. Featuring performances by Rant & Rebellion, a new band formed by members of the Brandon Folk Collective just for Ferry Tales, and by Tom Moore, Nick Hart and Archie Moss of The Top Ceilidh Band who will provide the music for some fun and energetic folk dancing, Ferry Folk promises to be a rousing celebration of the region’s heritage.

  • Sensational Screen Print Workshops in Brandon

    Come along on Tuesdays 2, 9, and 16 August and learn to screen print onto fabric. Inspired by Brandon’s intriguing history, you will learn to print by making a textile as a group before going onto designing and printing a cloth of your own.  All prints will be displayed along the High Street as part of the Ferry Tales arts trail. No previous art experience is required.

  • Travellers' Tales: The Story of Brandon

    Join us at Brandon Library and help create travellers’ tales from past centuries, capturing stories of those who have used the ferry crossing such as pilgrims, drovers and highwaymen. The workshop will use simple writing exercises to get you started. Try writing a short poem or prose piece. Beginners welcome but experienced writers will also find inspiration to write.

  • Market Place in High Lodge

    Fantastic day full of creative experiences. We piloted our first Market Place event, we launched our new brand, we invited people to experience arts activities in place, where sports is the usual offer, we worked together as a great team, and volunteers absolutely made our day.
