  • Viva la Voce Concert - Wisbech

    Participants of Viva La Voce are showcasing their learning and celebrating their achievements by holding a concert in Wisbech. Aspiring singers have been meeting with vocal coach Linda Ekins since September to learn to sing together using improvised vocal techniques and become confident enough to perform.

  • Creative Caring – Skills Sharing Session

    ‘Creative Caring’ is a project designed by Carol Parker, a socially engaged artist working together with her colleague Ernie Butler, a 2D artist, to extend their participatory art in care home in Fenland. This summer Carol and Ernie ran their first 2 week programme of creative sessions in 4 care homes in Fenland.

  • 'The Brink' – Augmented Reality in Wisbech

    Do you love dreaming up new stories? From fantasy to fiction, time-travel to alien-invasions, this project will fire up your imagination! Join a series of story workshops to gather bold and imaginative futuristic stories about Wisbech and we’d love you to be involved. Come along to these story-making session and work with leading artist and poet, Lucy Sheerman to create new stories. Some of the stories will be selected and used to create an interactive trail of digital experiences in and around Wisbech.

    Wisbech based artist Dan Donovan brings a vibrant community art project to his home town. This live open art project is an opportunity for Wisbech residents and visitors to come and express themselves through paint to create a communal work of art. Dan’s main vision for The Art Station is to embrace art, bringing all ages, abilities and communities together in an expressive visual piece.

  • Working with Mass Media

    Following our conversations back in the summer about the need for professional development opportunities in marketing the arts events and projects in your areas, as part of the Market Place project we have put together a workshop on “Working with Press”. The workshop will give an overview of the general principles of working with mass media to develop a profile of the arts organization, promote events and projects, and increase attendance.

  • Wisbech Reads

    Wisbech schools are putting together a five year strategy to focus on improving the reading levels in all Wisbech schools and the surrounding area (of which there is one secondary and 16 Primary Schools). We supported this festival, including a Discover Arts Award for all participating children on the Friday (schools day), face painting, drama workshops and more.

  • Literary Festival in Angles Theatre

    We were delighted to support Angles Theatre with their first Literary Festival. Readings, workshops, new writers – all for you in Wisbech. The Festival celebrated literature of all types and featured a range of speakers and workshops from local authors such as Claire Upton, Simon Crow, Jon Lawrence and Darren Upton and poets including Fenland Poet Laureate Jonathan Totman, Mary Livingstone, Elaine Ewart and Poppy Kleiser.

  • Atelier East Exhibition 2015
