  • CPP MarketPlace: Conversation Exhibition at Babylon Gallery

    Some of us are talkers, some are listeners. Some of us are the curious meddlers who enjoy planting a question and watching ideas grow. You never know when the opportunity will arise to take part. Conversation, our new exhibition invites you to do just that.

    Following a 'year in the life' of MarketPlace: Creative People and Places, explore the wide range of creative events happening across the market towns in Fenland and West Suffolk. All of these activities began with a simple creative conversation - they're happening all around us.

    The exhibition continues until Sunday 29th March. Babylon Gallery is open Tuesday to Sunday, 12pm to 4pm with free entry.

  • Bee Crafty Marquee - Market Place

    The Bee Crafty Marquee is part of the annual St.Mary’s Church Exhibition. This year it will run over 3 days and will offer a variety of activities for the whole community to enjoy. Explore the Light Lab on Friday, 6 May, and the Imagination Studio on Saturday, 7 May.

  • The Imagination Studio in Whittlesey

    Getting ready for the annual Art Exhibition in St.Mary’s Church during the first weekend of May.  Lots of crafts, activities, and exciting arts experiences will be waiting for you. Explore the Light Lab on Friday, 6 May, enjoy the Imagination Studio, and come back to the Bee Crafty Marquee on Sunday, 8 May.

    Have a peak into our Imagination Studio this Saturday, where Jenny Johnson (Whittlesey) and Luke Payn (Peterborough) will be exploring the idea of ‘motion’ and working with lights, characters and movement.

  • Community Christmas Tree

    This year, we are asking the people of Whittlesey to help us to decorate the Whittlesey Market Place Christmas Tree for the St. Mary’s Church Christmas Tree Festival – and produce a unique piece of community art in the process.

  • Working with Mass Media

    Following our conversations back in the summer about the need for professional development opportunities in marketing the arts events and projects in your areas, as part of the Market Place project we have put together a workshop on “Working with Press”. The workshop will give an overview of the general principles of working with mass media to develop a profile of the arts organization, promote events and projects, and increase attendance.

  • Youth Arts Markets in Fenland

    This August young people from 20Twenty worked to prepare and run three arts markets in Wisbech, Whittlesey, and March. Local arts groups were showcasing their work for people to come and find out what’s available in their home town, and have a go at a variety of workshops.
