Tales and Trails Festival

Tales and Trails Festival is arts and environment day for the whole family at Brandon Country Park on Saturday 21st September, 11am - 6pm.

MarketPlace is supporting Brandon Creative Forum to bring you a day of art and activities celebrating the forest.  We have worked with artists and the local community to create a packed programme including newly commissioned artwork and creative experiences.  Our activities are themed around a sense of place and the natural environment, offering a range of things for you to see, hear and do.  We hope you will join us at the Festival, have fun exploring the forest and discovering new things.

Entry to the festival is free - but we welcome donations to support ongoing creative activities in the Brandon area.

Please note that car parking space at Brandon Country Park is limited.  We encourage people to walk where possible or to jump on the FREE Festival Shuttle Bus.  The bus will travel between Brandon and the Country Park throughout the day starting at 11am from George Street bus stop.  Access information for the Park can be found here.

Please join the Facebook event page for latest news and updates.  You can also follow us on Twitter for latest news and announcements.

Things to look out for at the Festival:

Art installations and commissions The Festival will showcase 5 new artworks, co-commissioned with the community.  The regional artists include Oblique Arts, Kaitlin Ferguson, ArtatWork, Kate Munro and The Lost Sound Project.  There will also be a showcase of local a creative talent, and two artist-led projects featuring contributions by local people.

Walks and Trails Explore the park and discover tree decorations created by Brandon schools, pre-schools and local groups along the South Ride.  Keep an eye out for some colourful toadstools, and see if you can spot our hidden fairy doors
