MarketPlace is pleased to announce a digital refresher day designed to help you explore your presence online with your website, social media platforms and digital networks.
Monday 18th November, 10.30am - 4pm at Babylon Gallery (CB7 4AU)
Booking essential - tickets are just £5. Please book online here.
Networking coffee served from 10am. Lunch is included - please let us know if you have any dietry requirements.
The day is designed to help you evaluate your online framework, how to make it more effective to support, create and find rewarding projects. We’ll be facilitating the day with leading digital arts agency Culture 24 - a charity supporting arts and heritage organisations to connect meaningfully with audiences.
If you’d like to find out how to make Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and social media work better for you, spend less time getting better results or just what makes a good online presence - this day is for you. The workshop day will include:
- what you THINK you know
- what you actually DO know
- and what you would LOVE to know
Who is it for?
Artists, Creative Practitioners, Administrators and those wishing to promote the arts through online platforms. Preference will be given to those living and working in the Fenland & West Suffolk regions but is open to all across Cambridgeshire and Suffolk. It is very much a hands-on workshop with plenty of time built in for discussion, chatting and networking with others. It will probably be encouraged!
What will I need?
Mostly a relaxed frame of mind to have fun discovering something new. You could also bring:
- Questions you want to ask
- Some artwork or items to photograph and share online
- Links to your website, social media posts etc.
- An idea you would like to design online activity around
You will also need to bring a device - a smartphone, iPad or Android tablet or a laptop.
Travel and accessibility
We are able to offer some travel bursaries if you are intending to come from a distance. Babylon Gallery is wheelchair-friendly and fully accessible. There are a small number of disabled parking spaces very close to the gallery and more at Ship Lane Car Park, approximately 2 minutes away. If you have any special requirements please contact us.
