Brandon Tales and Trails: Stall Holder Open Call
We have an opportunity for stall holders to join Brandon Creative Forum and Market Place at the Tales and Trails Festival this on Saturday 21st September, at the Brandon Country Park
This opportunity is open to all, though we are particularly keen to receive applications from those who embody the festivals themes of celebrating the forest and the environment. The festival which will include art installations, music, theatre, storytelling, food stalls and lots, lots more, typically attracts at family audience in excess of 1500 people.
About the festival:
The festival is devised and delivered by MarketPlace in partnership with Brandon Creative Forum - a team made up of volunteers, community members and representatives of Brandon groups and societies. This is the fourth in a series of events organised by the community team with the support of MarketPlace, a Creative People and Places project.
The event is an outdoor festival day celebrating the forest and community, with themes around a sense of place and the natural environment. The team are keen to hear from stall holders who embody the festival theme in original and inventive ways.
There will be a mixture of stalls on the day with a range of crafts, heritage skills, goods and services on offer. The festivals theme for 2019 is the environment, so all stalls should be forest or environmentally themed, whether through materials or practice
When and Where:
When: Saturday 21st September 2019
The festival is open to the public from 11am - 6pm, stall holders to be setting up from 8:30am - 10:30am, all stalls to be ready by 10:45am. Stalls must also be in place for the full duration of the festival
Where: Brandon Country Park, Bury Road, Brandon, IP27 0SU
Vehicle access is limited though parking will be available in the designated area and by event permit only. Please ensure you will be able to transport your equipment and products to your designated stall.
All vehicles must be unloaded and clear of the grass area by 10.00am and access for clearance at the end of the day will be decided once it is safe to do so.
Stalls also providing a free activity or craft for the public to get involved with: NO CHARGE
Stalls providing no activity / craft: £20
Stall holders are responsible for providing their own equipment for the day, including tables, chairs and gazebos. Consideration must be given to using weights/sandbags and fixings of gazebos in strong windy, inclement weather conditions.
Wifi is not available in the park and 4G connection can be intermittent so please consider this when planning your payment methods
Risk assessments must be carried out by the stall holder and a copy provided to Ali Atkins by no later than the 2nd September.
Any refuse or recycling is the responsibility of the individual stall holders and must be removed from your stall when clearing away
