Professional Development Opportunities

''

Market Place continues to support professional development for artists and arts organisations as well as community leaders in Fenland and Forest Heath. Please see below two exciting opportunities.

  • Promoter’s Day by Creative Arts East

23 April 2016, Saturday, 11.30am – 4pm, Ashill Community Centre

Creative Arts East is pleased to invite you to the upcoming promoters’ day. There will be around 4 – 5 companies performing a 15 minute extract as well as launch of a full directory of shows for the Autumn / Winter season (September – March) and some informal discussions around marketing and audiences. Lunch provided.

Market Place will subsidise the travel costs for 2 people from Fenland or Forest Heath. In return you will be asked to share what you have learnt with Market Place community either in written form (e.g. blog post) or as a short presentation.

If you are interested in attending, please email Elena Shampanova at elena@cppmarketplace.co.uk by noon Thursday, 14 April.

Please include your name, organization you are representing (if any), what you would like to get out of the day and how it will benefit you or your organisation (150 words max).

  • Events Management Training

There has been a few requests for events management training and Market Place would like to subsidize one person from Fenland and one person from Forest Heath to go on a high-quality accredited course in events management. This could be an online training as well.

We will subsidize the cost of the training, and in return will ask you to provide a certain number of hours of events management support for the Market Place forum projects in Fenland and Forest Heath.

If you are interested in this opportunity, please send your expressions of interest to Kate Hall at kate.hall@cppmarketplace.co.uk by noon on Monday, 18 April 2016.

Please include:

- your name, organization you are representing (if any)

- your choice of the training course with description and fees

- what you would like to get out of the training and how it will benefit you or your organisation (150 words max).

Each application, the amount of subsidy, and the hours for events management support for Market Place event will be discussed individually with each applicant.
